I had a toy version of this when I was 5. It's definitive for me.

I was always more enamored with the Delage S-15-8 of that era:



Also from France, it was one of the only cars of that age, to have TWO successful competitive eras- first, in the 1926-27 Grand Prix seasons when it was new. and then again (this particular car picture above, in fact), under the ownership of Richard "Dick" Seaman (later of Mercedes Benz "Silver Arrow" fame) and tuning of Giulio Ramponi, a second career as a world-beating "voiturette" racer in 1936-37. In fact, it was after seeing Seaman's speed and prowess in this car, that he was offered a berth in the factory Mercedes team, driving the famous Silver Arrows.

One of these also was a competitive entry in the 1929 Indy 500- finishing seventh. It was the ONLY car that wasn't either a Miller or Duesenberg, in that race!

Tommy Ivo's "Showboat from 1961. All wheel drive with four Buick V8 engines strapped to the framerails, It packed 1,856 cubic inches and made over 2,000 combined horsepower.

They say it was coupled/timed so no two cylinders fired at the same time.

That was probably the most outrageous race car of all time. Close to 1500HP in qualifying trim. Single-handedly killed CAN-AM racing, as nobody else could even come close to keeping up!
