I saw an old Motorola console yesterday at a local thrift store. I believe it is from the pre stereo era. It has a single speaker in the middle of the cabinet on the bottom. It has 2 drop down drawers above. On one side it has a record changer. On the other side is an AM radio. The radio dial is in a half moon design with a brass indicator hanging from above.

Anyone here know what model this may be? Dates of manufacture? Where do Motorola models rank in the overall scheme of console quality hierarchy?

I'm pretty impressed by the quality of the Motorola portable set I have. Real solid wood, an actual P/P 6BQ5 amp, and a Voice of Music record changer. Most of the Motorola stuff I've seen has either Tung Sol or GE power tubes, so you can't go wrong there.
