Can anybody help to to ID this Motorola tube radio? Hook it up and all tubes are lit but no test further due to not know where to connect the speakers. Any help please. Thanks a lot.

Hiya,

You only have a tuner/maybe preamp there. This is a console pull that had a amplifier attached.

It's a B-100 stereo radio. I just happen to have the schematic and a pair of speakers from one... they plug into the RCA jacks. Single-ended 6BM8s for about a watt per channel.

hmmm, to me that looks like a Table top radio with a couple output tubes, those tabletops would have have built in or extension speakers depending on the model. The tranny next to the dial glass looks like a choke but could be an output tranny. Are there any numbers printed on the chassis, maybe the back part? Can we see a pic of the underside?

Edit: Tom beat me to it. 9 minute gap, gee I'm a slow poster.

Thanks for the inputs. Here the pictures underneath and in the back.

Hiya,

I am such a goob. I actually have this radio down in the office. Just was tired and did not recognize it properly. The speakers on mine connect to the little RCA jacks on the back.

Sorry for the misdirect.

Looks like an existing mono design that was hastily converted to stereo, hence
one output trans on top and one below. Hope you get it to work properly. Regards.
