Hi ALL:

I am a new member and today is my first day.

Does anyone know of a good home for my old hi fi stereo units by Fisher, turntable by Dual and speakers by Design Acoustics that still works?

I am moving and I cannot bring it with me to my new location.

Any ideas?

Appreciate you all !

ps: I LOVE THE SPIRIT OF THIS SITE...brings me back to the past when I was a teen and all I wanted was my stereo and the world go away.......

When I recently moved I gave away some stuff. An integrated amplifier and some small Infinity speakers were gifted to a friend. Some of the other stuff that I had that was not working quite right was gifted to a local tech, although that guy was a moron and I would have given it to someone else. Can always donate to Goodwill or even put up for sale on Craigslist...

If you want to gift it through AK, the it needs to be listed in Barter Town.

Dare i say, There is a subscriber only section called barter town for buying and selling gear (and other stuff). Within BT is a sub forum called pay it forward. The gist is people give away stuff (to get good karma?)
Normally if someone is trying to buy or sell stuff i recommend becoming a subscriber (which i feel is well worthwhile) . If you're giving the stuff away , kind of waste of money to pay to subscribe to give away. There's always friends and relatives and craigslist.

I want to thank Quadma2 and nj pheonix for replying to my message. So sorry, I did not realize that this was the wrong place to ask for selling advice. I will look at BT. Appreciate that you took the time to message me back. Regards, Electr0

I'd probably put a free ad in Facebook and Craigslist and drop it on the curb, must take all....

As you probably know, those are pretty basic units, they may work fine but they don't get any excitement in the collector market. For someone exploring the hobby or youngsters they would make great starter equipment.
