I stumbled on a console very similar today on CL.. not tubed.. I'd bet this one is SS too..

Why not just send the seller an e-mail and find out? We could guess all day..

For 20 bucks, I'd definitely go check it out! It sure looks like a decent piece. Packard-Bell perhaps? Curtis Mathes? It certainly has a "high-end" feel.

Reminds me of an ampex, but I don't think they had those hide away doors.

el84 tubes receiver/all in one --

if it would have had separate amp/tuner I would have taken it - but the amp and the tuner are all on one chassis --

am/fm radio with tuning eye - dial string broken
record changer

yes sliding tambour doors --

this is one heavy console - had to be solid wood

for 20 bucks it would be worth it for someone in the twin cities to get a nice piece to start learning tube DIY on --

sellers very motivated to get rid of it -

they have a very nice but very big dog.

believe me -- if the thing wouldn't have been so massive I would have... seein' how I've drug 4 consoles home this winter I thought I'd exercise a little restraint - ha

Duo- yes I think I probably could have gotten the seller to throw in some costume jewelery - it was a classic estate sale situation -
