I got rid of all the incandescent lamps with Northridge Electronics's LED lamps. I used (3) 6.3V BA9S bayonet lamps and (2) 8V fuse lamps in place of festoon lamps. I soldered a wire to the top of the fuse lamp and soldered it to the top festoon clip and it worked perfectly. The bayonet lamps required no conversion. It fit perfectly into the bayonet sockets with no soldering required! LED lamps were $5 each on ebay at Northridge Electronics's Ebay store.
