MTX brand speakers?

Has anybody ever heard of MTX speakers? I am looking for some good used speakers. There are some tower MTX brand speakers for $50.00 for sale. Is this worth it or not? Any input would be appreciated.

Get a pair of AR4x for $50. Mucho better.

MTX is more of a car audio manufacturer, and not really high end in that area. I don't know if I'd go running to get them. They will probably be loud, if that's what you're looking for.

mtx and dcm are basically the same company as of recent years.

mtx made oem + replacement drivers for years , some decent
home speakers , then mostly car stuff when the caraudio craze
hit in the late '80s . mtx made a broad range of speakers -
from mediocre to phenomenal (remember the RFL series?)

so.....they might be worth a look . if built in the last few years-
mtx/dcm ????? could be ok, but i'm thinking more alike to the
modern KLH crap sold at best buy....
so ..... if made in the '70s-80s they might be worth a listen.

Nope, take a pass on them. Have a bit of patience, and you'll probably find a much better pair 'o speaks around that price point.
