Anyone using the Luxman mq-88uc?
I am testing the Luxman mq-88uc with the PMC Gold db1 apeakers.
sources are:
I am using no pre-amplifier. Connections are directly to the variable input in the mq-88uc and volume adjusted via the volume attenuated on the amplifier.
I am getting very muffled sound.
The amplifier is a demo unit borrowed from a hifi store. It has approximately 3 months of use. It should well broken.
This system normally runs on a Rega Brio 2017 and sounds very good with a smooth balanced presentation.
So I am wondering if it just a mismatch between the amplifier and these speakers.
Anyone using this amplifier can share their experience? What speakers are you using and how it sounds?

- Luxman d-n10 cd player connected via coaxial to a mhdt ATLANTIS DAC
- A&K300 player connected optically to the mhdt ATLANTIS DAC
- Belcanto DAC 1 same connections as above
- Luxman d-n10 cd player connected via the analog out
