multiple amps and speakers

What is the best way to hook up 3 stereo amps to 3 pairs of speakers using one preamp. I have 2 carver M-1.0t's and an adcom 555mkII. I have an adcom pre/amp and a denon cd. I want to hook up a pair of infinity RS2.5's and two pairs of infinity Q2's.

I use piggyback RCA cords. They aren't the super high quality interconnects that many people use, but they work well for me. Y style adapters will do the same thing.

When using multiple Y adapters from a pre/amp to multiple amps, is there significant signal degradation??

I've done the same by using multiple RCA cordsets and alternately selecting the program sources by some black-magic combination of Tape Mon and Duplicate switches, and using AUX and TAPE inputs to link up to five units to a single source unit or signal.

Since I have various units scattered around the house I'm seriously considering one of those little 1W FM stereo transmitters and routing the sources to it, then just tuning all the receivers to the appropriate frequency. There isn't much user feedback on how clean the signal of those unlicensed transmitters might be or how effective they are.
