Muse Model Nine CD Player - Anyone have a manual? Also a few questions

Hello, I just purchased a Muse Model Nine CD Player and am getting familiar with it. I have the original box and packaging / remote, but sadly no documentation or manual.

Curious if anyone has a manual for this deck that they would be willing to scan, or possibly any links to a manual online? I did a lot of searching but couldn't seem to find one.

My first question is about powering it up - this unit has a power rocker switch in the back where the power cable connects. I flip this power switch on or off and do not see the display light up or hear anything. If I press the 'open' button on the front I can hear a relay click and it powers on and ejects the disc tray. Is this the expected behavior for this deck?

Also I have the original remote, and so far the following buttons are working fine:

Stop, Pause, Play, Skip-, Skip+, Repeat, Search-, Search+, Shift, Release

When I press Shift button a light turns on at the left of the front panel of the player, and clicking release turns it back off. Anyone know what this does?

The standby button does not seem to do anything. Is that expected? I am not sure what the rest of the buttons are supposed to do or what they're for since they do not seem to work, and I do not have a manual.

Thought I might open a thread here to ask in case someone has one of these around and might have a manual to check, or can share some insight on the questions above. Appreciate any help and thanks.

It's showing: "Once you have determined that your Model Eleven is properly configured for your area, the master switch can be placed in its operating state by pressing the rocker on the side labeled “1” until it clicks into its “on” position. The Model Eleven will be energized, but will remain in standby until it is awaken by either a front panel or remote button push."

I guess that answers the first question, assuming the model nine is the same. It also seems the standby has to do with setup menus, and using the S-Video or video outputs. I haven't gotten that far yet, I think I will try connecting the video outs and see what I can figure out.
 
Sorry for the necroposting.

I had an issue with model eleven. Occasionally I've switched to the progressive mode and the screen doesn't show anything now.

Maybe you have an experience with that, do you? Or maybe there are some ways to make reset of the device.
