G'day all, in the light of my recent personal emotional turmoil now that I'm feeling ok and mostly happy again (rare for me :D), can anybody suggest some I guess, 'happy' music for when one is feeling 'good'.

Hopefully it keeps the 'happy' feeling going too. Regards, Felix aka catman.

Glad you are feeling better! Here are my picks:
Yes - "Close To The Edge"
Anything by The Beatles
The Who - "Tommy"
Dire Straits - "Dire Straits"
Patty Larkin - "Live In The Square"
Three Bitchin' Babes - "Buy Me Bring Me Take Me, Don't Mess My Hair"
Modern Man - "The Wide Album"

I don't want to work by Todd Rundgren
Rag Doll by Aerosmith
Revolution by The Beatles
Night Flight, South Bound Saurez, Boogie with Stu by Led Zeppelin
Happy, Tumbling Dice by the Rolling Stones

Just at the top of my head

Almost anything recorded by the band Union Station (with Alison Krauss), early Van Morrison, or (if you really want to turn the clock back) The Seekers. {Glad the Black Dog has moved away from your heels!}

Just about any Rush for me. I'm generally a pretty content fellow, so I'm in the mood for their (mostly) upbeat and energetic tunes much of the time. Also, a lot of 80's pop and rock is just so infectiously cheerful. :)

Maybe just me, but when I need some feel good tunes I reach for a reggae album...
Good for groovin' , often infectious, and generally a positive message.

Listen to the blues

now that you are in a better place felix,to give you some perspective of where you were, maybe throw on an old classic like Live at Cook County Jail by B.B. King

The Tubes "Talk to You Later" has got a groove that just makes you want to dance . When I start to come out of the migraines that I suffer from this song or Yes "Round About" always give me that boost that helps me put it all behind and move on .

Glad you're feeling better Felix .

I was thinking the same thing. And I did it at my school this afternoon. As the kids headed out, I had the place rockin' with reggae nice and loud. We all liked it.
