Similar to Dave Marsh’s The Heart of Rock and Soul: The 1001 Greatest Singles Ever Made (1989), but Scottish music writer Brian Hogg approaches it from a more personal angle and this list is more about how the songs hit him when he heard them as opposed to being a definitive list. Informative and fun, regardless of whether one agrees with his opinions.

Been reading "No New York: A Memoir of No Wave and the Women Who Shaped the Scene" by Adele Berte. Fantastic book about the NYC No-Wave scene of the late 70s, picked it up at the local record store!
