MX 110 Aux input problem

Oddest week, first my phone headphone jack goes bad which keeps me from playing Pandora thru my MX110....so I get that fixed, bring it home and plug into the aux input....nothing. I tried the tape input too but still nothing. The cable is fine and the phone jack is brand new but I tried playing them thru another unit and everything worked fine.... so it's obviously the MX110 inputs....what could cause multiple inputs to stop working at once? Is there a component that's a usual suspect in these cases?

Does the headphone jack work with FM. Or is the headphone jack shorting out the 110 output....did the phono input shorting plugs get put in the tape out jacks?
