Mx 130 or 132

Hello,
I am new to this forum and I need a little help.I am interested in purchasing an MX 130 or 132 and I am planning to match this with a MC 7106. What are the differences between the two and what would you recommend based on your experience with either unit. In addition how would you incorporate the use of HDMI. Lastly, would this be a pair (mx 130/132---mc7016), that matches sonically? I appreciate your help.

The MX132 has built-in Dolby Digital and DTS decoder, it does not have HDMI or Component Video switching, only S-video and composite. However, it has the newer-style side rails. I would go for the MX132.

I just picked up a MX-130 myself (thursday! ), but my primary use will be in two channel, and it does have the THX board and 6 channel inputs for when I do need more channels. I figure if it ever ends up in a more HT environment I'll mate it with a blu-ray player with discrete analog outputs (oppo 83?), so the MX wouldn't be doing the processing anyways.

Which matches your needs best?

As far as HDMI goes I'm using my TV as the video switch and running audio to the MX separately.

Hi John,
I recently purchased both the MX132 and MC7106. I use it for listening to music/home theater and it sounds great! I use a Marantz HDMI switcher to manage my projector and HD pieces. It works fine.
