MX110 vs C34V

I just finished recapping my C34V and am very happy with it. I was wondering if people who have owned an MX110 believe it compares to the C34V. I understand we're talking apples to oranges, but would a move to the MX110 be a disappointment to someone used to solid state? I read how much Steve Hoffman loves his MX110 and was wondering if this is the norm among McIntosh owners.

Would it be an unwise move to replace a C34V and MR74 for an MX110? I wouldn't mind a little extra room in my cabinet.

I can't compare directly to the 34. But i do like my mx110. My c22 is better on a side by side comparison but its definitely good enough to keep in my line up
 
Thanks for all the responses. I think I'll hang onto my current setup for a while.
 
I've found that good vintage 6U8's are important in my MX110 and the two 1 mf lytic caps in the signal path should be changed to a descent film cap.
