Hey everyone! So I have an opportunity to buy either one of the above units. Both are coming from the same seller and have both been gone through by a tech in the last month. The mx112 has a nice walnut case which I like and the c26 does not. Can anyone give me the pros and cons of each unit and which one I should be leaning towards?

Welcome to the Mac Forum. If you listen to FM a lot then the MX-112 would be my choice. I've owned a C-26 for over 45 years and it's still going strong. The only tuner preamp I've owned was a MX-114 which was a decent unit. Here's where I would start. Look at each one and you will know what features go with which unit.

You can always negotiate the cabinet be sold with the preamp. They are interchangeable.
