My 1000th Post!

Wow - can't believe I've been at AK for just over two years now. I started as a complete and utter newb and now find myself a slightly more knowledgeable newb. I've learned so much from you folks here - so much so that on a few occasions I've found myself able to help someone else. So cool.

My gear has certainly improved since I started and so has my listening experiences. Current main gear consists of:

Receivers - Sansui 9090 (refurb'd), Pilot 110 tube integrated (refurb'd), Sansui 5500, Kenwood KR4140

Speakers - Yamaha NS-1000m, Nova 8 (VL modded), Pioneer CS-77a, Mach One (2 pair), Boston VR3, Boston A70, Boston A40

Turntables - Sony PS-454, Sansui D35, MCS-6502.

CD Player - Sony BD570 Blu-ray

Next big focus is going to be on improving my vinyl setups, and eventually I'd like to get a digital music library going. Fun projects!

Happy Holidays everyone!:music:

congrats on 1,000 posts tiga. Being a newby around here I was worried someone would boot me for yapping too much, the I stated that " abandon 8-tracks " thing. I was really worried.. Now I can at least say Tiga's got way more posts than me. Thanks for takin the preasure off.

(speaking in scratchy, old-man voice) "Boy, I can remember way-back in the old days when I made my 1000th post..... I surfed around for days acting like I was Teddy Roosevelt crossing the Potomac..... Heh, ....I tell ya'..... Those were the days..."

Some nice speakers there.... How do you like that Sansui 5500? (Is that the one where people talk about doing the mod? I can't remember) Those green-lit models are so-purrty.

I like the 5500 alot, but it's not as nice as my 9090. To be fair the 9090 is more powerful and has been completely gone over and recapped by Avionic. I'd like to have the 5500 recapped at some point. It sure is a sweet looking receiver and sounds great as it is.

Congratulations! And thank YOU for your 1000 contributions to AK! :thmbsp:

Now, if someone has no idea what to get for you at this time of the year, that little red banner that goes under your user name would be the perfect gift that keeps on giving! :D

Congatulations! :thmbsp:

The first 1,000 is a big milestone, and for most the hardest/longest 1,000.

Now only 30-something thousand more posts to go, to reach the number one posting spot! Except that by the time you get there, the leading guys will be at 70-something thousand posts... :D
