My $30 DIY Album display.

So I went to Home Depot and grabbed a few things and made an album display that holds 12 albums. It's going to hang on the wall, but doesn't look bad just on the floor. I'm probably going to paint it satin black tomorrow, but just did a dry run for now, and threw in some albums I had laying around. I have others to chose from.

Here's the materials, some cheap wood which was cut to size after I knew how long they needed to be, and the metal strips which were prefect for holding the albums, were just under $6 each, and they were 8' long, so I bought 3 and cut them all in half for six 4' pieces. All total, it was $32 for the wood, metal strips, some wood screws, some little nails for the hanger pieces, and 1 can of Rustoleum satin black paint.

I got it mounted on the wall now. I'll take it back down and paint it tomorrow, even though it doesn't look THAT bad silver.

I left enough slack so that the records slide in and out of there fairly easy.

Seriously though, I was just showing anyone that was interested, an easy and cheap way of doing it, as opposed to buying single frames, that would cost a lot more, and be a pain to get lined up right. This was pretty cheap, and only took two picture hooks on the wall, and it's easy to swap records out too.

display.
Another option might be to use 1 metal strip on the bottom and simply
attach it directly to the wall with the top of the album leaning back.

That's what I thought, they look made for records even though they aren't.

Yeah, there are many ways to use them. I wanted to do it in a way that took minimal holes in the wall which is why I made it into a whole frame. That way I only needed to wall hangers.
