This is the latest stack to emerge from Casa del Fud. If vintage speaker stacking is your thing, this stack might be your huckleberry. This stack is the result of hours of intense internet research and planning. As well as, several lengthy phone and email consultations with doucanoe and Inspiribomb.

Mounted in these Karlson cabinets is a pair of Jensen H223 coaxial drivers. Because of the angled Karlson baffle mounting, stacking this way produces a similar configuration to the JM Labs Grand Utopia. The big difference being, the use of the Jensen coaxial drivers eliminates the need for all the mid drivers and tweeters. They just get in the way of the music and trick the listener into thinking that they are hearing a full 20hz-20000khz presentation.

These sound exceptionally good in my room. Even though I just have the deuce for stacking at this time, I'm going to run with it as my main stack.

Hey there's a fellow named Freddi on the AA forum who just raves about the Karlsons. I once found a single Karlson K15 with a EV12TRX inside. Kept the driver but space limitations made it impossible to keep the cabinet. Mine was a factory mahogany cabinet.

Nice! They are pretty. Did you build them? If you ever get a chance to try the Jensen H510 coaxial I think it will surprise you how much better than the H223 it is.
I am toying with the idea of stacking Bozak Concert Grands in the living room but so far I havn't been able to find someone willing to help me put the second pair on top.
 
I bought these and did a few mods to make them look more "Karlson" like. The gentleman I bought these from had made 6 pairs over the years. When he passed all the kids took a pair and these remained, my guess the ugliest pair. I moved the grill cloth behind the wings and a few other tweeks.

I have a pair of EV 12TRXB's that may find their way in these eventually, but for now the Jensens will stay.

Now all I need is some labor to move the monsters into the listening room.
