My 70's Pioneer Stuff

Thought I'd post up my 70's Pioneer setup. I once had this similar setup in the early 2000's and sold it to pay my kid's tuition. The kid was worth the sacrifice, but I always missed that group of components. They just seemed to beckon me as my "forever in love" sound machine.

So, about 3 years ago, I started buying the setup again, a piece at a time. Since I'm a miser, usually it was broken, but cosmetically good otherwise. I've repaired each piece and they function beautifully now. The hardest fix was the auto-return on the turntable.

Here is the breakdown:

SA-8500 Amplifier
TX-9500 Tuner
SG-9500 Equalizer
CT-F9191 Tape Deck
PL-50 Turntable.

For me, a humble kind of guy.... My less than $2K setup is just perfect.

Ohhh, I'm a total sucker for those carefully&consistently compiled 70's silver shiny face plate - with wood case - setups! Your's looks absolutely great. I'd love tot listen to it. You might want to bring all of those sliders of the EQ a few notches down though, it's coming in mighty hot now.
