I like it. You can search most of the components on ebay. Set the filter to sold listings.. Thats a really cool setup IMO and you might regret getting rid of it. Better solution is shock collars for the kids. set the perimeter around your equipment. Problem solved.

Put a fence around the stereo; that might work for a few years. And remove the headshell and cartridge to a safe space, to be pulled out only as needed.

I agree....the set is beautiful.

Where are you located?
Says right on the bottom lift of my pic, Belgium.

The set is now in the second bedroom which will be needed for the second kid, its no longer in the living room. And I have my pioneer set in my office so no room to put it there ...

The amp has sold for about $300 and $400 (shipping included) on the bay. I'm guessing it will be hard to find prices on some of those units.

The trouble with valuing a set like that is whether you sell as set or by pieces. Sadly, it seems there is often more money in parting out racks like that. Recently I had a friend sell a Pioneer spec rack that he had put together over many years. Couldn't get interest in the whole set and eventually sold it piece by piece. But values and market are much different in Europe.

I agree with this

There are more people looking to complete their system than looking to buy as a whole. His time spent putting it together probably led to 6 or 7 other people completing theirs.

Fired the set up again today and listened to the Nirvana Unplugged LP. Those SW170A speakers are crystal clear. Didn't even blow the dust off the system or cleaned that record in 3 years.

Need to find a safe place asap for the set :(

I have a feeling that getting someone interested in a
complete system like that via a classified ad would be extremely lucky.

My thought would be that it needs to be on display somewhere, and seen in it's entirety. Much more impressive in the flesh. Greater chance the lust to own would gut stirred.
