That looks like a whole lotta stuff! Love the R2R's. Wish I could find a nice one that works good around here.
Took me 4 years to buy / trade / collect. Bye the way most of my R2R's are purchased 'buy now' on Ebay Dot. Com USA based sellers. Exept for the small Akai (between the Sansui's on top ) and the Pioneer RT-707 (closset left stack below on floor). These last two I purchased in fysical hifi and music retail store 'Lotusland Electronics and music', 2660 Alma street vancouver BC.
The RT-707 is perfect if not the heads are physically worn, like is a know Pioneer issue relating to all there R2R's. But 2 year ago I managed to buy NOS and used but no wear at all 3 complete 707 head stacks, if you can not find these Pioneer R2R's are indeed worthless. Sansui heads are harder. Mine are perfect on the Sansui's, no wear at all, same for my Akai's! A wel cared for not abused Akai or stored in most, outside etc Akai, Sony Or Sansui can almost always be fixed. Its like with cars stored in garage but not run for years. Clean, replace the belts and or other rubber or it needs maybe a capitor a resistor, diode etc and lots of cleaning, lubrigation, electrical contact cleaner, and there back on specs. But always try to get yourselve atleast one complete working-ish spare machine of same type and model, preferably, the same day!!!!
But now they try to sell you incomplete, destroyed irreplacable type (heads) R2R's or sold as is for parts / not workkng R2R's from $500 till over a thousand or for 2 or 3 or 5 or $12000, 20 or 30 thousand USD Euros sterling or CAD?? Completly nuts they've become!
I payed for my 6 R2R's in total $2400,- CAD (including shipping sales tax import tax to Vancouver BC when aplicable). One SD-5000 and both 1800D-SS Akai's were sold and shipped to me from Kansas City Kansas USA by the way ;-).
Note: For if anybody wants to known I'm NOT a seller, and I'm not working for any sellers commercially or otherwise. It's just one of my hobbies! Hence nothing you see, I post here is not and will not be for sale at any price! Again it's just a hobby!

Nice collection! Where's all the speakers?
Well I blew both my B&W 683 tweeters at the same time. And sold both speakers for parts locally 2 months ago for $60, cad to local 'Hi-Fi picker'. Same happened with my pair of Monsoon FPF-600's a week later, but these I threw in the dumpster on our lot 'literally!
@A/D/Slover I'm currently using indeed a pair of my Realistic Minimus 77's. Very acceptable combo with my Pioneer SA-7500, if not cranked up to much offcourse!
So I'm in the market for 2 pair of 3+ way tower speakers. But this time I buy them new! Somewhere this year that will happen! Money Money Money. And I don't want to finance them you see.

Anyone has a Pioneer SA-7500 like me?. What your opinion?. As I stated elsewhere on AK, I'm quit fond about these amps!
