My dog hates Marantz 2325's

Whenever I power up a 2325, my dog leaves the room, giving me a look on his way out. Whatever he hears goes away quickly, and he can be convinced to come back, as long as I promise not to do it again soon.

This happens with lower wattage models too, but all 2325's are particularly annoying to him.

How about your dog? If you have a dog that hangs with you while you work. Anyone else have a dog react to powering up a big stereo?

No not any of my sound equipment, but turn on the rice cooker and he will stay outside in the pouring rain if necessary!
 
My boy likes Yamaha's, if I don't crank it to at least 90dB he starts howling.

Angus doesn't do that but then again, he doesn't do much of anything! He is with me a lot out here in the shop. Weird.
 
Maybe only cats like them! My listening buddy enjoyed his! :)

Tikka, my 7 year old German shepherd mix, chills out even if it’s loud (like 2275 paired to Klipsch La Scala’s loud), unless something sounds like thunder, in which case she runs upstairs and hides in the bathroom. Haha
 
I have a Yamaha CA1010 in my office. When I first power it on it emits a super high pitched whine for about ten to fifteen seconds that's just on the edge of my hearing. If it was any higher pitch I wouldn't hear it at all. It's not that loud but it's definitely a grating frequency. I'd guess this is what's perturbing your pooch...
