My EPI/Genesis Physics Addiction

I took inventory today to figure how many foam surrounds I need to so I can refoam and reduce my hoard. I'll probably have to scavenge a couple pair so I can get the rest functional. It's amazing how much you can accumulate when you just keep adding speakers to the pile in the basement.

What I currently have:

EPI 100 ---10 pair
EPI 150 --- 1 pair
EPI 200 --- 1 pair
EPI 201 --- 1 pair
Genesis 1 --- 1 pair
Genesis 1+ --- 1 pair
Genesis 2 --- 1 pair
Genesis 2+ --- 3 pair
Genesis 10 --- 1 pair
Genesis 110 --- 1 pair

To me, the real sleepers in this group are the Genesis 2/2+. I remember I almost walked by my first pair of 2+ because I thought they were just some speakers that had come from an 80's all-in-one stereo system. Been listening to them for the past couple of weeks and have put them on the short list of speakers to keep.

Are EPI and Genesis common on the used market out there in Colorado? When I used to do yard sales they were pretty much ubiquitous here in the New York area, but we're not that far from New England where they were all made.

EPI's is probably one of the more common vintage speakers you find in Colorado, especially the EPI 100's. I imagine one of the reasons the 100's are fairly plentiful is they were top rated by Consumer Reports for several years so a lot of non-audiophiles bought them. The Genesis are much more uncommon but I don't think they sold as well at the EPI's. The hoard I have has been accumulated over the last 9-10 years except for the EPI 100's I bought on 9/2/1983 for $169.14 (Yes, I still have the receipt:)).
