My find in Columbus Ohio on Monday

[MacNoob]

I have a Lab-400... Lab-500 is definitely one I would replace it with if I found a nice one.

I was about 5 miles north of you.........right off I-71

Well Marc we'll be going out to see her again before the summers over. Get ready to be pumpkined. LOL

Congrats on your find. The Lab-500 is a very nice and very dependable automatic deck. It's my favourite of all the auto decks I've ever owned.

First off I like to thank everyone who took the time to reply to this thread.
Thanks !!!!

Here's an update

I emailed a few friends with more knowledge than l with this Shure cartridge and knowing what I wanted to spend recommended the hyper ecliptical replacement stylus from LP Gear.

While I've always liked the Goldring Elektra for the price the Shure with the new stylus is far superior. The first thing I noticed was how much quieter it is on the lead in/out and between tracks. The sibilance I experienced with the Elektra is gone. Overall I'm super pleased and now wonder what I'm missing sonically by having not purchased the $250 S.A.S. stylus.

Thanks again everyone

Don't let those thoughts about that potential comparison (against the SAS) steal the joy you have found with the new stylus you are now already enjoying. It is a nice stylus indeed and should give you many, many hours of delightful musical enjoyment. Congratulations.
