My First Girlfriends Father Invented A Gyro Stabilized Two Wheeled Car

That is probably the most interesting vehicle I've ever seen. Would be very cool to see it restored and operating.
 
It's a shame somebody chopped it up to make an ordinary trike.

The sphere shaped tank around the gyro wheel must be a safety containment thing, in the event the wheel would come apart. The wheel is centered between the driver's feet.
