my first Kenwood

Time has told me...
Picked up my first Kenwood pieces today. Come to think of it my first seperates since I sold my Pioneer/Marantz combo some years back. KA 7300 and KT 7300. Need a little cleaning but sound great. Once again asking for stereo stuff pays off as these were gathering dust in the basement. Kind of hard to find anything about them in English on the www. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

My first Kenwood is in the mail heading towards me.
KA-3300
I am also waiting for a Yamaha A-560 to arrive in the mail. Not my first Yamaha though :)
 
Couple of great firsts! The 7300 stack is some fine equipment, and should serve you very well...make sure you get those switches nice and clean, and you'll be all set!

As for a KA-3300...where'd you find that beast? That's the late 80s TOTL with the built-in DACs right?
 
KA-7300, 1973-76, $400.
KT-7300, 1977-80, $260.
Info from Orion, dates may be off. Orion did not list power output for the KA-7300.

I think you are thinking about the KENWOOD D-3300A
I wish I had that one :(
 
I've got 5 Kenny pieces- very well built items. a 7500 tuner, two 7100 integrateds, and two 5700 integrateds.

I think you will enjoy these very much!

One of the nicest touches of the Kenwoods is the inset lettering, don't you agree?

gives the unit a real quality look and feel.

Hey Eric,
This will replace the Kyocera receiver and cd player in there now.
Kenwood TT, these two Kenwood pieces, JBL L65's, and a Luxman cassette deck for now. I need to find a cd player to complete it.
A.C. decided to hold off for now (no room). With all the musical instruments :thmbsp: and the Marshall mini-stack for his guitar, things are a bit crowded.
 
I am a confirmed Kenwood lover. My Kenwood gear has never let me down(knock wood). I also love vintage Sony, their stuff is rock solid. Congrats on your purchase, they look real nice to me, and I bet they sound great also. I do have one piece of Kenwood gear, a KT-5000 tuner that is "sitting on the bench" right now because it could use an alignment and possibly some caps work, but I ain't letting it go. Beautiful looking dial, very McIntosh like look to it. Don't you just LOVE this stuff??
 
That Kenwood gear is nice. I had (and sold) a beautiful KT-7300 and KA-7100 in favor of keeping some other gear (and financing others). I would have been just as happy keeping it if money hadn't been an issue!

The gentleman who sold me these two pieces was kind enough to dig through all his stuff and find for me two sets of rack handles, both owners manuals, and a sales brochure. All originals. :thmbsp:
