My first McIntosh Gear... noob and I don't know some things

Howdy! Some background. I've had several regular consumer stereo systems and found it pretty easy to hook everything up. Last weekend I got a tip from a friend about a family planning an estate sale & got it before even the planners. I bought couple thousand albums and a rack of Mac gear that was not hooked up. MX115 Tuner, MQ101 EQ, and a MX6100 plus other components not Mac.
I'll admit I stole it for price I paid, if I sold the wood rack case I would make a profit.
Now I have a decent turntable, multi cd player, and multi cassette player. Really don't need a tuner but I do like the look.
My question is 2 fold. Do I need the MQ101? I've already read in the forums that it was designed specifically for Mac speakers. And #2 I also wouldn't need the tuner as well since my main goal was the MX6100 to run my few components. I've enclosed pics of what I got, really appreciate any advice. Super excited, I've always wanted this gear... my uncle was an audiophile when I was a kid & I can remember the green glow so now I have some, just got learn to use it

No, you wouldn't have to run the MQ-101 unit at all.

There's likely a couple ways you could configure this. First, you could run the MX-115 into the Amp section of the 6100 and gain a tuner, or, two, run the 6100 all by itself as it has both amp and preamp sections.

With an additional power amp of whatever brand then fed by the MX-115, you could actually have 2 separate complete systems
