The arms have a more JVC feel to them, and two of the platters look distinctly un Technics -- more like Sony. So I'm guessing put together from various parts, which, as usual, suggests CEC.
 
I know they had connections with Chuo Denki...
I'll pick it up next weekend, I'll know more then. At least detailed pics!
 
Am I the only one who doesn't see a linear TT in the linked advertisement? :smoke:

It appears to be the one on the right. Not linear tracking, but linear drive (Linear antrieb). Ich spreche nur ein bischen Deutsche.


I'm only familiar with linear motors in a high-speed train application. I guess if you made one in a circle it would work.

I bet there aren't many manufacturers who used linear motors in turntables. That probably narrows the choices down considerably.
 
The tonearm pivot is virtually identical to that on the SL-23 and SL-2000. That along with the platter led me to conclude Technics. I don't know of any other tts that CEC made with that pivot.
 
JVC is the maker of the arm and propietary cartridge. Nobody more make it.
Nordmende has many JVC products on his "Nordmende" name.
For instance, the JVC L-E5.
