Tuning to ride height, ie level, has all three spring under equal compression height. A springs resonate frequency is a function of load and compression.
If all three springs aren't compressed equally, all three springs will have their own frequency. Normally that's quite counter productive. Although a brand that requires indepth knowlege of the "black arts" seems to get away with that.

Ok, so you measure the spring compression while getting the platter level.

What brand requires in depth knowledge of "black arts". Since I have adjusted my TD 160 a few times I am curious. :scratch2:

The brand that took the basic 3 point sprung suspension from Mitch Cotter, then AR, then Thorens, and then claimed to be the "worlds best" after they made an exact copy of the Ariston.

Oh, those guys. Well I think a lot of people (critcs and reviewers) were in on that claim.
