I remember ads in the back of Popular Mechanics and/or Popular Science magazine years ago, for "build your own jet engine" kits. The ads featured a pic or drawing of a jet engine, and if I remember correctly, the kits were pretty expensive. Was always curious about them, but never sent for one. Anyone here ever do so? What were THEY like?

I know guys who fly twin engine Jet turbine R/C planes every weekend.

These goobers are playing with what looks like the tubro from my Dump truck in the first half and then they bought a surplus engine.

You should see them with a grass catcher attached- now thats a sight.

That big one they started up with about halfway through the video, holy shiite, and still no safety goggles! Loved the storm drain 10 ft. from the engine, convenient place to hose off the spilled fuel into. But, I have to admit it was cool when they tore up 10 ft. of concrete curbing with the damn thing.
