My new setup

Lwrs10

Super Member
Got a new shelf, some new amps, and a preamp....

DSC02191.jpg

Starts out with a Harman Kardon AVR 354
Fronts are Cerwin Vega S-2
Center is a Klipsch C-2
Rears are Bose 601, about 1982, and Klipsch Synergy Rears...

Amps:
Audiosource AMP-100 bridged on center channel
Audiosource AMP-300 Bridged on JBL 12" Sub
Yamaha M-50 Running the S-2's

Subs:
JBL 12" running off the AMP-300
Advent 12" running off its own 100W plate amp

Source:
PlayStation 3
HDMI for Home Theater
2 Channel analog for music

2 Channel listening setup:
Cerwin Vega S-2's
Onkyo preamp
Yamaha M-50 Amp 120WPC
PS3 on analog output

I am very pleased with this setup....but it needs some real subs for home theater listening. Watching Blu Rays with HD audio really rocks on my system right now.

And 2Ch analog sound absolutely great. I need to only add a good stand alone CD player to it now....

Hope you enjoy my junkyard/trash rescue build. I know I do...

I really like your setup. I take it from your post that most of your setup is second hand? It really looks good and clean.

Everything but the H/K reciever. PS3, and TV was dumpster, Craigslist, and thrift store find.....I have under 200 bucks in it....

Congratulations! Do you have any ideas in mind for te CDP?

The cheapest decent thing I can find that works? There is a Teac at the local thrift, but they want $20 for it and I think its too much....

Nice job!

I built a full 2-ch system for a friend (amp, 5-CDP, TT, cassette deck, tuner, speakers) for $80 (CL, thrifts, castoffs) and it sounds great. I'm sure yours sounds even better.

Always like to see systems built from CL,Thrifts, garage sales and dumpster diving. All of my stuff is from them.
Nice Looking System !!!!!!!!!! Rock On !!!!!!!!
