My new TU-666

Just got my TU-666 that I bought from eBay! It's original with a nice wood cover here are some picture with the original dust and grime after I opened it. I will proceed to clean and change all the bulbs....the buttons are soaking

Don't forget switch on the back side (dist/loc)...it was extremely dirty at mine TU-555

Yes I already did, mine was supper dirty too

After a couple of hours here it is, cleaned up

And here it is after I replaced all the bulbs, I'm so proud to give it a new lease on life.

Congrats. Very nice tuner you have there.
I remember when we had one for cleaning in the service shop , after cleaning and adjustments , it gave many High end tuners a run for their Money . Actually it never left the shop , since the owner's son wanted a NEW with rds plastic tuner. Not sansui offcourse. We bought it for the cost of the repair. 80e, back in 1997.
It still plays every single day since then. I stopped by some days ago . Asked to buy it and the guys loughed at me. I wonder why.
