My Poor C-4

Vint Age

Subscriber
I recently bought a used Yamaha C-4 preamp. The seller packed it with the line cord plugged into one of the rear AC outlets. When it arrived I found that the rear AC outlet block was forced through the back of the preamp. It would have otherwise been in pretty good condition.:tears:

Anyone out there with a parts unit that could help me restore this old beauty?:D

If no one is able to send a replacement part, I'll offer to rebuild it with Bondo, black enamel paint, and my Dremel if you'd like, and if that would work. But I won't be able to tackle it for at least a few months or more.

I would look for a modern retrofit that would work with those blasted polarized plugs.

I think it'll be hard enough just to find something that fits.
What I need is a parts unit out there with a doner part but it's not looking good.:sigh:
