true, but I suspect sometimes we get so involved with listening to whats wrong with the equipment that enjoying the music takes a back seat. I know I have to remind myself to shut off the nitpicking and just enjoy it sometimes.

Do what you want and play what you want, not what somebody else says you should do, or listen to.

Learn by listening not by reading.
 
Rules are made to be broken but records aren't. Actually these are good rules if if followed records will last for many years. I have records that were bought in the early seventies and still sound new. There are exceptions from being lit though.

I have a general guideline I follow. I only keep titles I like and will listen to. Otherwise I'd be a "collector" (gasp), but I'm just a guy who likes to listen to records sometimes.

Excellent guideline. I was the former for many years, being an avid listener is much more relaxing!
