I have owned a Sansui AU999 Amplifier/TU999 Tuner and Cerwin Vega 211R Speakers since 1973. About 1 year ago one of the amplifier channels started acting up, sometimes working/sometimes not. Recently the left channel went out totally, and now the remaining channel is fading/crackling, etc. I want to get it repaired but cannot find anyone in the Miami area that works on older amplifies/tuners. Someone suggested I post this in the Sansui forum so here I am. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

Its all about the Music
The first thing to do is to grab some deoxit, and deoxit shield , and get in there to give it a good going over....
The deoxit will take the oxidation off, and the shield will protect and lubricate...
Read this go forth and conquer....:thmbsp:

Note that de-oxit preserv-it is now called de-oxit shield........
Do this first, and then if there are any other problems we can asses this later....
