Upgraded my old carousel cd changer to a dedicated single cd player. Both are from Onkyo, but old one was from the mid-laye 90'ies... DX-C210
The one i got is not latest trend, but ... C-7030, that i gather is a pretty reputable piece.
I am running it through Denon Avr-s650h and old Bowers &Wilkins dm-220 speakers...
i am in the testing phase for a cd player... so gathering observations...
so far, what grabbs attention is how different it sounds when i use rca cables - using its own DAC, vs. using coaxical output to use DAC in the receiver. Later sounds soo bright, and with soo punchy drums and bass!!! ... While i am loving it, I can't loose the thought if Denon puts some processing .. I believe it does... even in "Pure dieect" mode
