My vintage system is finally complete.

I decided to get back to collecting records this past spring. The problem was I didn’t have a TT to play them on. I didn’t want to go the easy route and buy all new components so I set about collecting all vintage gear. Today I finally found some Advents I’d been looking for and at a reasonable price to complete the system.

So here is my final set up (the speakers won’t remain there, I just did it for the pic.)
Yamaha YP D6 turntable
MCS 3253 receiver
New Large Advent Utilities with red fried egg tweeters.

Wow! A classic rig and nice display. I love my MCS 3253 and LAs have been my go-to speakers for nearly 50 years. Refoam them when it's time and they will be good for a lifetime.

Excellent! You’re inspiring me to dust off my OLAs and stick them back into my main system!

I stumbled upon them in a local ad and while they look old (they’re a bit dirty and scarred but solid) they sound pretty good. The surrounds are in good shape as they were clearly refoamed not long ago. The best part is that I paid $30 for the pair!
