Mystery 1950s/60s Woofer - ID Help?

Picked up a big old Lafayette mono cabinet hoping at the thrift store hoping for a Goodmans woofer treat inside - no dice, but whatever’s inside does sound excellent. 12” woofer + horn. The horn is a Jensen S928 so the woofer could be Jensen too - but it looks different, feels a little lighter (I think) than other Jensen woofers I’ve come across, and doesn’t have the usual Jensen back label. Only markings are serial numbers shown in the photos here. I’m guessing alnico magnets but not sure. Back of cone has 1201-5 with S574 and mm3311 (I think) stamped on the back.

Any ideas who may have manufactured this? Cabinet lists Lafayette only, no model number. Crossover is Lafayette 99-021. Doesn’t look like anything too special but sounds really great so very curious for more info.
