Mystery Capacitor Value

Ordering capacitors for the Chrysler CE-509's that I picked up a couple days ago: https://audiokarma.org/forums/index.php?threads/hop-in-my-chrysler-its-as-big-as-a-whale.990021/

I ordered 16's to replace the 15 and 1 that are paralleled together and 1's. There is also one that has no markings other than "nichicon" on it. Physically it is exactly the same size as the 1's. I don't have any way to measure it.

Thoughts?

could be anything, really. would need a capacitance meter, or a multimeter with a cap tester built-in. Provided it is still working.

I forgot I'd picked up a meter that has a cap tester. Looks like I need a couple 2.5's.

IMO, 2.2's were likely the original spec.

I should have added that when 'lytics age, any value drift tends to be upward.

That said, your measured value is still within 10% tolerance for a 2.2.

Sometimes they drift WAY upward.

This from a 30 year old Mission 760i. Same Tesla cap out of its mate measured even higher!

Lucky the tweeters still work ...

Agree 2-2.2 would be a good range
