Mystery Mixer / Preamp / Record Amp

Hey all, I picked this little oddity up earlier, and can’t find anything about it online. Has anyone seen anything else made by “KZ Audio Specialty”? The VU meters look like Berlant, has triad transformers, but no chassis markings at all. The front panel says it’s a “Remote Mixer Preamplifier”. Any insight is greatly appreciated!

That's a neat little piece. I can't seem to find anything about it online. It does have some nice desired Triad transformers. There is a KZ Audio but it appears to be a relatively new company specializing in earphones. What brand/type of tubes does it have?

thanks! Yeah I couldn’t pass it up. It came with 2 RCA ax7’s, an RCA 5751, and 2 GE AU7’s. I just wired a new 3 prong cable into it, and gave it a test drive. Sounds pretty good honestly. Gave a very flat ribbon mic I have some nice low end beef which always cool.

Yeah that’s probably a good bet. I’ll have to look closer inside, but I am really curious how this was originally intended to be integrated into a system

looks like a mic preamp for recording....
