Yes, it would be a stretch to call them Hi-fi, not just because they are 3 large full range speakers. The large distances from speaker to speaker within the same cabinet will introduce a good amount of comb filtering, even if they were almost touching each other.
It might be possible to make a baffle stepping crossover, in which the top speaker is running full range, and the bottom two have their frequencies rolling off the treble at a certain frequency, which can be determined by measuring the distance between drivers, but it would take a lot of thinking. That would be for nearfield listening.
Now, if you were to listen to them from a greater distance as originally intended, the comb filtering would be reduced, and they would probably do quite well as vocal cabinets.
