Mystery RCA floorstanders

A lady is selling a pair of what she's calling "tall speakers" for $50 on Marketplace. I can make out RCA on the grille. No other pictures.
I asked her for a photo from the rear and one with the grille removed. Huzzah! They appear to have two 6.5 woofers, a 3 or 4 inch midrange, and a dome tweeter. Photo from the rear, plus model number, promised for tomorrow. They're at her mother's house. They don't look cheap. Hell, all those drivers are worth the asking price. I don't know how far a drive away she is, but I'm tempted. Do these sound familiar to anyone?

Not offhand, but I'm wondering why you didn't wait to post until you had all the info. I did find one RCA tower speaker, the SP5100TL, but it doesn't really match your description. RCA did offer the Dimensia series in the 1980s, but they had a "Dimensia" logo, not RCA, and I'm not aware of any tall models, nor any with that small a woofer.

Note that Radio Shack marketed speakers under the RCA name starting in the mid-late 1990s, IIRC; however, the speakers pictured below were manufactured before then.

I ran into a pair of SP 2700 T 3 ways acouple if years ago at a GW. Rotted foams and pushed in caps. Nothing to power them up so no impressions on their sound BUT the cabs were solid and heavyScreenshot_20250415_190609_Chrome.jpg

SP 4100T certainly fits the general description. Product label calls them "4-Way."

Possibly a 3.5-way, with lower woofer restricted to a narrower low frequency range than the upper. :dunno:

Input terminals don't exactly scream "high end!"

Maybe there's also a model in this line with 6" woofers.

Thomson Consumer Electronics apparently acquired rights to RCA in 1988, so this model could predate the era when the brand was featured in Radio Shack's catalogues.

Personally I don't mind spring terminals TOO much but I would much rather have 5 ways for the ease with of banana clips on both ends.
That 4100 does appear to be an empty box though w/o bracing or little if any batting inside....more of a problem imho.
Boston A Series all had spring terminals I do belive ( I've owned 60's 70's ) even the 400's ???
