Mystery Speaker ID

Up for sale locally is a pair of speakers that have no manufacture or model number on them. The owner told me that the only number he found was 1H2941, I did a search using that number the only results were for Parallax speakers. Measurements are 29" H x 16" W x 14" D. Any ideas?

The drivers look to be inexpensive and were probably sourced in Asia. This looks like a "house brand" style speaker and I would expect mid-fi sound at best. I'd take a pass on these unless they were free.

I agree. May offer them $20 since I could always use the cabs to build something else. Just looking for a bit of input. Thanks.

Found a set of these today.
Labeled Parallax 1H2941.
They came with a Pioneer RT-707 as a package deal. So I had to say yes. Good looking cabinets. Very low quality components. The most quality portion of this atrocity is the two front mounted pots with big red reset button within the control panel. Two pots that are both labeled "increase midrange". I suppose if you crank the mid up all the way on one pit you can still turn it up more all the way on the second...lol.
Turn it up to eleven fellas.
No...got to 22! It's party time!

Burp! Whoo...excuse me.
Well....the Parallax speakers moved faster then if they were coated in Exlax! A buyer came buy, heard them play for all of about 45 seconds and put up his hard earned money for them. Was I sad to see them go? Well....they did hold up my Canton Karat speakers for half a day soooo.....

I have a pair of those speakers, have had them for 35+ years. I've used them as garage speakers and have them in the house now hooked to my Pioneer SX-535 and they sound decent....ish. I just found out who made them and the model number, something I haven't known before. These cabinets are in good shape, may have to replace everything else with quality components.
