White van?

Nah, too old school, not enough drivers, and the wooger is too big.

Probably some of those Something or something Acoustics speakers I alway leave behind at garage sales. They're probably OK for garage bangers or party monsters, but $50.00 seems high. Check the foam too.

You guys, (as usual), as usual are probably correct. According to the owner they are Acoustic Research Dynamics Mdl 4350's. So are they Acoustic Research or are they Acoustic Research Dynamics?

They are Acoustic Research Dynamics. My brother has the same pair. They sound OK but nothing to write home about. Made in the early 80's. (white van) Poor construction on the L-Pad controls. You can do much better for $50

They don't look like any Acoustic Research speakers that I've ever seen.
They look like acoustic studio monitors which are white van crap.:thumbsdn:

I'd be inclined to go with white van, late 80's vintage.

Other than the model number, they look to be dead ringers for Acoustic Dynamic Systems speakers (ADS). Had a set of those gawdawful things brought in for service back in the day. Talk about a pissed customer! He wanted a refund from ADS for getting suckered!

Geez guys, you mean these van dudes have been dumping crap for 20+ years??
I never ran into the guys, but alway had the impression that they were hawking something a little more modern and HT looking, not 70s/80s retro gear.
Then again there's one born every minute, prolly 3 or 4 these days.........

Jeez, here in FLA, most of the white vans are selling live turtles and pretty little turtle ponds with a palm tree!
Thanks for the info!

A ton of very similar speakers were sold under a variety of names -- american acoustics was a common one in New England. I believe they all were Mitek products. Not terrible, but nothing special.
