Mystery speakers - KLH AV44

[Edited to comply with KingBubba's note below.] I have a pair of KLH speakers that I bought new in early 1993. The tag on the back shows "Model AV44" and "Made in USA". The dimensions are 29 x 5.25 x 11.75 (big and heavy). The specs are: design - 12" 3-way; cabinet - 4th order, ported; woofer - 12" dynamic with ferrite magnet; midrange - 5-1/4" dynamic; tweeter - 1" soft dome; crossover points - 900Hz and 4,000 Hz; min/max - 5/290 Watts. I've searched online but can't find them in any list of KLH models. Has anyone out there heard of these? Is it strange to not find them listed anywhere? Seems odd...

I'm not familiar with this particular model, but if the date is accurate, these were most likely sold by Costco and other warehouse clubs. Not really related to anything made by KLH in the 1980s and earlier. I don't remember who owned the company at the time. It is somewhat unusual but not completely unheard of to have no record of these. It is also possible that they marketed the same speaker under different model numbers depending on who sold it. They sound like they're similar to the Premier 121 listed in Audio magazine's equipment directory in 1992 (loudspeakers are towards the end of the file, and it's all images so you can't search) or the Performance SX-8 in the 1994 directory (see what I mean by different model numbers? The specs on those models are pretty much identical).

Do you have any pictures? If you can remove one or more of the drivers and include pics of the backs of those at well, it would be helpful too.

I had a pair in the garage for a while. Good party speakers but not 'vintage' KLH.
