Oh great another speaker ID thread. I'm pretty good at surfing and ID but can't find anything out on these. The cabinets look B&O to me (just a guess) drivers branded Sony. I believe the drivers are Coral full rangers. I've found a pic of another pair so the aren't home brew. These are very well built solid wood with metal edge detail cabinets.

I believe I've actually got a set of those in my unit. They are in fact Sony branded. I'll get the model after this weekend and post it here for reference

Thanks Bowtie, my skills at finding aren't as good as I thought. My set appears to be a bit different than the ones I've seen online. Mine are 16 ohm instead of 8 and appear to be an earlier cabinet version. Anyone know if these are the Coral full range drivers?

Two 16 ohm drivers wired in parallel = 8 ohm speaker system.

Sony speakers more often than not, use Sony components. But, not always.

Since your drivers are branded Sony, you can be 99.9% sure they are.

Might sound a little weird. But, several in the community here(myself included) welcome and enjoy the challenge of helping folks like yourself get to the bottom of these kinds of mysteries. It makes us think, research, and quite often learn things we didn't know previously.

Sony wouldn't have been my first guess even though I've had some early models.
