N97Xe stylus replacement

The stylus on my M97XE cartridge broke (the stock N97Xe needle). I don't have the money for a JICO SAS so I've narrowed it down to the Shure replacement and the Ed Saunders V15VxMR. Has anybody paired this stylus to the M97XE body? I couldn't find anything when searching however I was told the stylus should fit the M97Xe body. Any help would be appreciated, thanks!

An NOS N97HE will also require some minor plastic trimming to fit the M97xE, but it will work. If, as boreas says, you can find one for a reasonable price.

I can't say I've had good experiences with Ed Saunders styli, but many people love 'em. In the case of a V15VxMR-intended stylus in an M97xE body, it should be pointed out that a stylus that sounds right in the V15VxMR will sound a little dull, with the high treble rolled off, in the M97xE body, even though the styli of the two cartridges are mechanically interchangeable. That is, if you swap them, they fit, but the sound changes because the bodies are not the same electrically. The difference isn't large, but some people are very sensitive to changes in treble energy, so it's worth mentioning. In my experience, inexpensive aftermarket styli tend to sound a little bright, sometimes downright screechy, so this combination might turn out to be a happy one.
