I happened to look at Craigslist minutes after a NAD 3080 integrated was listed recently. I ended up buying it from the original owner (who had many people contact him after I did--I was first). He still had a couple of brochures that came with the amp. Very nice guy. He thinks he bought it in 1978, but wasn't 100% sure. He said that he still used it periodically, and that it had never been worked on. He demoed it, showing that it was still fully functional, although a couple of the controls had gotten a little scratchy over the years. A Deoxit bath fixed that, once I got it home. It was super clean inside (as well as outside).
This was their TOTL integrated from their first line of amps, and apparently is pretty rare(?). Listening impressions: quite a bit of power there (it's rated at 90wpc), and it sounds pretty darned good. Warm sound overall, with strong bass.
Attached are a few pics (his, from the ad).

I had to go out to Palatine to get it. Suburban driving freaks me out a bit, especially at night, but I managed to get home in one piece. In this case, it was worth it. I sold off quite a bit of gear a few months ago so it's nice to have something "new" in the house.
