NAD 4020 Replacement Display Lamp

Hello -
Would anyone happen to know the value of the replacement display bulb for an NAD 4020 tuner? And perhaps a source to purchase a replacement?

Follow-up question, has anyone replaced that bulb with an LED? I'm wondering if that would work considering the smaller lit surface area of the LED compared to the incandescent bulb.

A year plus later but what the heck, might mean something to someone else -

There is only the one bulb in my 4020B, at the left of the glass tuner dial, held in place with a rubber grommet pushed on to a metal 'wing'. I replaced the lamp/ bulb with a pre-wired 5mm warm white LED sourced from WJOE.com, and bent back the metal tab or wing of the grommet holder so that I could position the LED horizontally and have the illumination shining the width of the tuner dial. Quite effective...

I replaced the lamp/ bulb with a pre-wired 5mm warm white LED sourced from WJOE.com.

I just replaced the lamp, finally, with a normal bulb and it's just not bright enough...I have questions.

• Was it this SKU: 120205
• Does the polarity of the LED matter? Both wires on the 4020A are white making it difficult to know what's what.
• Is there a resistor wired in-line with the LED?
  
• Do you think it would have worked nearly as well without bending the metal tab?

I have since sold the tuner, but from sketchy notes I made at the time:

* Yes, that is the LED that I used
* Yes, polarity matters - try before you finalize
* Yes, there is a resistor pre-wired in-line with the LED
* I don't think so, but you should experiment. I noted the results at the time as satisfactory, but depending on the look you hope to achieve perhaps a 'bright white' LED might be in order. I used that particular LED because I happened to have it on hand...

Thank you, one more question. Where did you wire it up? To the leads from the existing lamp or one of the other windings of the transformer?

Thanks very much for the response. I have a handful of white LEDs and some resistors and I'm going to give it a shot. With two white wires I'm not entirely sure of the polarity but I think the worst that can happen is a blow a couple of resistors. I'm curious to see if there's significant flicker due to being on an AC wind.
